Konbanwa Nihon!

We have been busy working on a licence for our lovely lullaby album, ‘You Can Cry (And Other Lullabies)’ for our friends in Japan, which will appear in a slightly different version with some exclusive live Gamine recordings and we are delighted to report that it should be available on December 7th 2011 via the Kilk label.

In the meanwhile, we have made our first single, 'My Virgin Summer' available for you to listen to, share, or , indeed, download, via Bandcamp.

Yes, you can buy copies of our lovely new album, a collection of special Gamine lullabies called 'You Can Cry (And Other Lullabies)'. We have already made it available as a download release on the likes of iTunes, 7digital and most other well-known download sites (our Bandcamp page is best - and you can now also buy our marvellous 'Sabotage' album there as a download) and now it is available on CD in actual (and virtual) shops. MYSPACE, FACEBOOK AND OTHERS:

If you have paid a visit to our MySpace page you will have noticed how popular we are. Haven't the faintest idea what we're talking about? Have a look here... If you're already on this site, don't you think it's about time you came and said hello?

However, it seems that nowadays Facebook is the site that most of the world's intelligentsia use as their technological Filofax (remember when people used to write things on bits of paper and put them in a little book?) and you can also become a fan of ours 'and add your voice to the debate' as somebody in a suit probably once said, on Facebook by clicking on the link near the top of this page. We are also on last.fm, Reverbnation and iLike, if you like that sort of thing.

And not only that, Ian has his own Tumblr site where you can amuse yourselves by watching the commercials he has been writing music for, his own MySpace page and his own Bandcamp page where you can hear some of his music for Ijad Dance Company if you so wish.

You can use the one below to get free downloads - we have put up 'Summer', to celebrate the first rays of sunshine we have seen this year, and 'Motet', which you can also see on one of our Super 8 films. You'll also be subscribing to our mailing list, so we can let you know about all the new and exciting things we are doing. Or you can just email us and subscribe anyway here... And the ones to the left let you join our fan pages on Facebook and iLike, which of course, we heartily encourage.

GAMINE FILMS PRESENTS:

'MOTET' and 'THE SKY'S EYES' - two lovely Super 8 films from our new album - you can see them on our YouTube page or visit our films page.

As you can imagine, we're getting our outfits ready for the Oscars already, as we feel it inevitable that we will be honoured with several nominations once the judges have seen them. You may also like to pop along to our YouTube page to leave extremely complimentary comments.

And we now have a Vimeo page for our films, which shows them at a higher quality than YouTube.

OUR WONDERFUL DEBUT ALBUM, 'SABOTAGE':

You can download our marvellous debut album, 'Sabotage', from our Bandcamp site.

In Russia we licensed it to the Soyuz label... read all about it here...

And, as you know, it has already been released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The new and improved version of the album was licensed to a label called 'The Flower Shop Recordings', (distributed via City Slang / Rough Trade) and you can also buy it online at the Flower Shop website, which you will find here.

This new version of 'Sabotage' is in the digipak format, and includes two new songs, and a remix of 'Oh, What a Kiss!'. We have also included a little film for one of them, 'Oh, Mon Chéri !', which is our French remix of the 'Oh, What a Kiss!' remix. We thought it only fair to make the film available to everyone and so you will also be able to find it here.

So far we have seen several excellent reviews in German - though we don't actually understand German as such, we're sure they're excellent reviews since it is an excellent album. It is only logical, after all. You will be able to find details of them here.

THE GAMINE RADIO SHOW:

A while ago we were asked to prepare a radio show for an avant-garde radio station here in London. However, they decided it wasn't quite avant-garde enough, the imbeciles, and the show was never used. Imagine how crushed we were. Until we heard the station, anyway. So, since all our friends begged us for a copy - and we were only too happy to oblige - we thought that other people might like to hear it too. We thought of podcasting, but the internet requirements were a bit beyond our grasp, so then we thought of publishing 'torrents' that would enable you to download our "not avant-garde enough", and, we think, forgiveably shambolic radio show, which we called "The Voice of Space", and which we had planned to broadcast from our own private space station floating a few hundred miles above planet earth (or planet sea as it will soon need to be renamed when the ice-caps have melted). All the info is here... including an ordinary download link for those of you who do not use the torrent system.

PERFUME:

Recently, Dr. H (and her team of scientists) has cunningly decided to make two versions of Sabotage, a 2011 perfume remix, if you will. Version one: Sabotage Pétale - powdery, rose-scented and springlike. Version two: Sabotage Épice - spicy and wintery. We can exclusively reveal that they are the same, yet different! What more could you want? They are not available yet, but we'll let you know when they are.

However, we can reveal something (but not too much - spies from the likes of E**** L***** are everywhere...) of the inside story of our perfume and its creator, Dr. H - read all about it here...
