CONCERTS:We're playing with Sparks on the 25th of May! Look!THE REISSUE OF OUR WONDERFUL ALBUM, 'SABOTAGE':The Russian edition is out now! We have licensed it to the Soyuz label... read all about it here...And, as you know, our lovely album, 'Sabotage', has already been released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The new and improved version of the album was licensed to a label called 'The Flower Shop Recordings', (distributed via City Slang / Rough Trade) and you can also buy it online at the Flower Shop website, which you will find here. This new version of our lovely album, 'Sabotage', is in the digipak format, and includes two new songs, and a remix of 'Oh, What a Kiss!'. We have also included a little film for one of them, 'Oh, Mon Chéri !', which is our French remix of the 'Oh, What a Kiss!' remix. We thought it only fair to make the film available to everyone and so you will also be able to find it here.So far we have seen several excellent reviews in German - though we don't actually understand German as such, we're sure they're excellent reviews since it is an excellent album. It is only logical, after all. You will be able to find details of them here.CLAUDIA'S COLUMN:In her latest column, Claudia tells you all about lovebirds. You'll find it here... But don't worry if you missed any of the older columns - they are all archived here... and there will be a new one soon.LISTEN TO GAMINE ON LAST.FM:Yes, that's right, you can listen to the whole of our lovely debut album, 'Sabotage', on last.fm or, if you so wish, on our very own 'Sabotage' page here...GAMINE FILMS PRESENTS:A GAMINE PRODUCTION etc.yes, that's right we're getting our outfits ready for the Oscars already, as we feel it inevitable that we will be honoured with several nominations once the judges have popped over to our new films page. We have made a special page here where you can see them, and for those of you who are fans of our unique cinematic vision, you'll be pleased to know we are making some more for our new album, too. You may also like to pop along to our YouTube page to see these films and, if you like, leave comments. So, off you go... Open Sesame!THE GAMINE RADIO SHOW:A while ago we were asked to prepare a radio show for an avant-garde radio station here in London. However, they decided it wasn't quite avant-garde enough, the imbeciles, and the show was never used. Imagine how crushed we were. Until we heard the station, anyway. So, since all our friends begged us for a copy - and we were only too happy to oblige - we thought that other people might like to hear it too. We thought of podcasting, but the internet requirements were a bit beyond our grasp, so then we thought of publishing 'torrents' that would enable you to download our "not avant-garde enough", and, we think, forgiveably shambolic radio show, which we called "The Voice of Space", and which we had planned to broadcast from our own private space station floating a few hundred miles above planet earth (or planet sea as it will soon need to be renamed when the ice-caps have melted). All the info is here... including an ordinary download link for those of you who do not use the torrent system.MYSPACE:If you have paid a visit to our MySpace page you will have noticed how popular we are. This is only to be expected - we decided that, since there must be latent fans of Gamine in the big wide world who haven't realised it yet, we would go and find them all, round them up and have them all live together in an idyllic paradise. Or, at the very least, have them on our MySpace friends pages. Haven't the faintest idea what we're talking about? Have a look here... If you're already on this site, don't you think it's about time you came and said hello? And not only that, Ian also has his own MySpace page here and you can hear some of his music for Ijad Dance Company if you so wish.OUR NEXT ALBUMWe are still hard at work editing our lovely new album, so not much to say for the moment, really... apart from the fact that it is going to be really good. And we're making some lovely little films for some of the songs too...

OUR FRIENDS AND COLLABORATORS1. BILL PRITCHARD:As some of you may know, our forthcoming pop album, long-awaited and much promised, we know, was written with Bill Pritchard, and his fans will be pleased to know that his new album, which was produced by top French producer Thomas Deligny, of Concorde Music Club, has just been released by Universal / AZ, and it is called 'By Paris, By Taxi, By Accident'. His fans will also be pleased to know he's back to his best - it has topped our playlist, so we should know (and so will you if you were at his concert at the legendary Olympia in Paris before Christmas). Bill has a new website too: www.billpritchard.net. In the meantime, if you want to hear a couple of excerpts of their previous collaboration and get some more information on Concorde Music Club click here.2. CONCORDE MUSIC CLUB:After releasing an album of groovy, fictitious filmscapes, 'Stereo-Fictions', featuring Mr. Pritchard (see above), Thomas decided to work his magic on Gamine, and the results can be marvelled at on the reissue of 'Sabotage', as his lovely 'French Kiss Remix' is included on the new version. We're hoping to unveil an even more exciting collaboration than this sometime in the near future... Visit the website for the whole Concorde Music Club experience: www.concordemusicclub.com3. STAN CUESTA:It was through Bill and Thomas that we met Stan, another French chap, and writer of songs, books, features in esteemed journals, and probably poetry and nice letters home to his mum for all we know. So, when we were looking for someone to adapt 'Oh, What a Kiss!' for the discerning French audience, he was the natural choice. So now we have 'Oh, Mon Chéri!' - also on the reissue of 'Sabotage', as well as being our latest video (also on the reissue etc.), which you can look at here as well... Stan has his own website, which is great news for all those looking for examples of the French sense of humour: www.stancuesta.com. Stan is currently working on an adaptation of one of our new songs and a book on punk rock... we hope he doesn't get them confused.

SABOTAGE:If you're new to the wonderful world of Gamine, you can read some of our outstanding reviews here and our press release for our beautiful album, 'Sabotage', here. And if you've read about us but don't know what our album sounds like, we've posted some excerpts on the site for you to hear. Generous isn't the word for it... Those 'Sabotage' moments...Et pour la version française du communiqué de presse cliquez ici! Et pour écouter quelques morceaux... voilà!PERFUME:We should warn you that supplies of the exotic and scarce perfume, "Sabotage by Gamine", which we commissioned to coincide with the launch of our album are also very low. We are still selling it from our boutique, as we are relatively sure that the valuable cargo will not be destroyed by the Post Office, and sometimes we will also be selling it when we play live, so you can sample it at our concerts. We can also reveal something (but not too much - spies from the likes of E**** L***** are everywhere...) of the inside story of our perfume and its creator, Dr. H - read all about it here... |

EMAIL US:If you're on our e-mailing list you'll be sent the occasional update, news of concerts and all sorts of general promotional scheming, but if you're not on our list and would like to be, then send us an e-mail and tell us. |
